Away I Go...

See If Mommy Can Catch Me apparently is a new game that Nathanial loves to play. He climbs the steps, and he is getting fast. He thinks he's hilarious playing "where am I?" Today, I left the living room for a few seconds to get Aidan peanut butter toast (I hope they aren't allergic to it, because Ethan got a bite), and I thought I heard noises in the babies' room through the monitor. I run out to the living room, and sure enough, Nathanial's missing. I ran upstairs and he came out of their room, threw his hands up in the air, and giggled.

I grabbed him, took him back downstairs, put an excersaucer in front of the steps (no time to get the gate back in place) and went back to Aidan's toast. That took maybe 30 seconds and I returned to, again, no Nathanial. What?!?! He pushed the excersaucer out of his way, then continued up the steps. He was halfway up the second set (we have a landing) when I caught him and he started giggling again and the moved even faster. Apparently, the other new game is How Fast is Mommy? Not fast enough obviously.

So, then I moved the humidifier in front of the steps...that's a little heavier. I guess I have to make time to get the gate back in front of the steps.
